Is Indian Education system lacking creativity?
The creativity gets left out
when your behaviour is too predictable and structured, everyone is similar. Look
at a small country like New Zealand, the writers, singers, athletes it’s a
whole different world.

Stephen Gary Wozniak also nicknamed "The Woz", is an American inventor, electronics engineer, programmer, philanthropist, and technology entrepreneur who co-founded Apple Inc. He is known as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s, along with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Wozniak single handedly developed the 1976 Apple I,
which was the computer that launched Apple. He primarily designed the
1977 Apple II,
known as one of the first highly successful mass produced microcomputers.
He was
invited by a group in Bangalore. He made very interesting and truthful points.
In that he questioned India’s creativity. While addressing the culture of India's education he made some point, “The culture here is one of success based
upon academic excellence, studying, learning, practising and having a good job
and a great life. For upper India, not the lower. I see two Indians. That’s a
lot like Singapore study, study, work hard and you get an MBA, you will have a
Mercedes but where is the creativity?”
Well, he stated the most important thing which
needs to be realised. He gave first model as study-study-work hard. We see many
people around ourselves advising that model of education. That might be their
model of education and gave them the desired success. It doesn’t always mean
that you should be following this culture. Something different might work with
more speed than this model.
Another model is work hard-get MBA-you will
have a Mercedes. Most of graduates might have been advised to do an MBA; many
of them might have did it. But the question is how many are there who own a Mercedes?
People advise you on the level of their goals,
their success and their own model of education. It is you who decide, is it
suitable to you or not?
For this you should explore yourself on
educational aspect. What methods make you learn faster than before, what is my
definition of success, what goals I define for my upcoming years, how can I do things creatively in my daily routine? Write down those answers and you will know the path to achieve what you seek from your life.
Small creativity creates big things.
Be explorer. Be creative. Be happy.
